He laughed out loud, like the mage had said something outrageously funny. Then he grew silent and serious.

"Kai hasn't done anything to werewolves!" The mazzelh looked angrily at the man in front of her. He barely noticed her.
"Like him. A sorcerer, or magician or wizard or whatever he is..." He put down the book. "You much have heard the warning too, if you are with a pack."
She shook her head a little.
"They caught them one by one, keeping them to experiment. Alpha and I was watching them do it, inject them with this slightly purple liquid. It looked more like dirty water than anything else... And then they screamed and cried and twisted. And the spirit sprang from them, leaving the flesh.

After an hour, I found a rooftop. I cried out to mother Luna, telling her of the massacre her children would go through, if these nearhumans could do as they pleased... I begged for her to help, but of course, she can't... Or won't.
That night I promised myself not to join a pack again. I can't loose what I don't have..." He moved a little, then began reading once again. He did not answer them more that night.
